A Message From Angela Pusateri
Did you know that 76% of Habitat For Humanity's homeowners at DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs are women-led households? Women are unjustly denied access to affordable homeownership. From the gender pay gap and its impact on credit profiles, to uneven childcare responsibilities that consume time and financial resources, to higher rates of mortgage denials despite superior payment performance, the hurdles keeping women from homeownership are high. The overall goal for Women Build this year is $200,000 to directly impact affordable homeownership in our region, and why my person goal is $500.
In supporting Women Build, not only are you investing in affordable housing, you are also helping to build strong and stable neighborhoods where women homeowners can thrive, and create generational wealth for their children which will create a lasting impact for years to come.
I am excited to be working on townhomes in Hanover Park this October, so close to my childhood home, as we turn a build site into a home. Please consider supporting Women Build by donating to my fundraising page.

In Support of DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity
DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat for Humanity has partnered with people in our community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families.
